2024年9月26日，最後兩架KC-10「增程型」運輸機離開崔維斯空軍基地。自1980年以來，KC-10一直是美軍及其盟軍的重要武器，在全球執行空運和空中加油任務。 KC-10的載油量是舊款KC-135的兩倍，同時載貨量幾乎與C-17「環球霸王」運輸機相當。為了紀念KC-10的退役，Herpa推出了一款限量版三發機型。第一架機型附有第60空中機動聯隊的徽章，該聯隊是最後一個操作KC-10「增程型」運輸機的美國空軍部隊（產品編號：538367）。 KC-10 的唯一外國營運商是荷蘭空軍。 30年前的1995年，荷蘭空軍將兩架 KC-10 投入第 334 中隊服役，為北約夥伴提供空中加油服務，同時也參與了世界各地的維和和人道主義任務。作為紀念這款三引擎加油機的限量版機型之一，此次展出的機型採用了 1995 年交付荷蘭武裝部隊時的民用配色方案。
