After having already released a model of the longest Dreamliner variant, the 787-10, in United Airlines’ current livery, Herpa now goes one step smaller, and is releasing the slightly shorter version. The 787-9 is not only the most-ordered and operated version of Boeing’s Dreamliner family worldwide, but also the most common with the largest airline in the world based on destinations served: in addition to 12 short-body 787-s and 21 of the stretched -10 variant, United currently operates 40 787-9s, plus four more on order that are to follow shortly.
